Tips for Buying a Spider-Man Action Figure
Spider-Man is certainly enjoying a lot of popularity these days. Comic book lovers have always enjoyed this character, however a whole new group of people have discovered Spider-Man thanks to the hit movie released in 2002 and it's sequel which came out in 2004. Like many popular superhero characters, there have been many Spider-Man action figure releases over the years. Whether you're a collector looking to add to your collection or someone seeking a great gift for a young Spider-Man fan, you cannot miss with a cool action figure!
One of the newest figures out there is made by a company called Toy Biz. The package bears the name The Amazing Spiderman and also lots of mini pictures of Spidey in various poses. What's even cooler than the package is what's inside. The figure is quite weighty as far as figures are concerned, and features a whopping 60 joints. Even the hands and fingers are anatomically correct, making it possible for this figure to hold items. There are an incredible amount of realistic poses you can achieve with this figure. At only around $24.99, it's an affordable gift for yourself or another Spidey fan.
Toy Biz is also the maker of a series of figures known as the Spider-Man Classics collection. There are 15 series that make up this line, with the first one appearing in 2001. In each series are a variety of different action figures, not only Spider-Man but villains and allies as well. If you've managed to obtain every piece in every set, then you've got a potentially valuable collection on your hands. Some of the figures are more valuable than others, but of course true value is in the eye of the beholder.
It's not difficult to find Spider-Man merchandise in stores these days. If you're seeking a Spider-Man action figure, check your local toy stores. Or, try web shopping -- no pun intended! Thanks to the millions of people selling their wares via online auction these days, you can often find that special figure unavailable in stores. While kids will certainly want to rip open the box and enjoy playing with their figures, adults who want a collectible that will increase in value should keep the box closed and intact. If you ever decide to sell your action figures, a sealed package can make a lot of difference in the selling price.
