Choosing a Spider-Man Game
Spider-Man has to be one of the most popular comic book heroes of all time. He's certainly the most popular of our time, thanks to not only the volumes of Spider-Man comics but also the series of extremely popular movies starring megastars Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst. It seems like everywhere you look lately, there's Spider-Man merchandise of all kinds. You can even get a Spider-Man game for your PC or video game system!
Whether you are seeking a game for your PC, Playstation, XBox or GameCube, you should check out Spiderman: The Movie which has been made in each of these formats. You get to have fun with all the powers Peter Parker obtains after being bitten by a radioactive spider. This means you can sling webs, stick to walls, swing from skyscraper to skyscraper, battle villans, and much more!
The game is quite similar to the first Spider-Man movie's plot. You first begin as Peter Parker wearing his wrestling costume, looking for his uncle's killer. Like many video games, there are many different levels of increasing difficulty. You will have to fight Shocker, the Vulture, Scorpion and finally the Green Goblin. This game features fantastic graphics and most of the voices are done by the actors from the movie. It's as close to being Spider-Man as you'll ever get!
After you've mastered Spider-Man: The Movie, check out Spider-Man 2. This game pits Spider-Man against such villans as the Vulture, Electro and Doctor Octopus. The exploration of New York City is even more realistic and fun the second time around, with new and improved features. This game lets you use your spider-sense to fight crime and offers more intense and varied fighting options. The web-slinging and swinging capabilities are a bit different on this game as well, offering more variety. You can earn new powers and get lots of cool upgrades as you progress through the game.
Either Spider-Man game is sure to be great fun for Spidey fans and video game lovers alike! Most everyone in the family, except the very young, can have fun playing these incredible video games. After the Spider-Man 3 movie is released in 2007, it's quite likely that eager gamers everywhere will have yet another fantastic game to look forward to!
